A message from the provost: well-being day and calendar changes

In a message to campus, Provost J. Christopher Clemens announced that there will be two well-being days in the 2025 spring and fall semesters.

Dear Carolina Community,

I am writing to let you know that upon the recommendation of the Well-being Day Committee — comprising various campus stakeholders including faculty, staff and students — the University will set aside two well-being days each semester in fall and spring, starting in spring 2025. This change will cause adjustments to the last day of classes and the exam schedule for spring 2025 and for future spring semesters.

Spring 2025 term

Please note the following events and dates for the spring 2025 term:

I want to thank the members of the Well-being Day Committee for their thoughtful consideration and recommendation to support the campus community with a valuable break from classes, giving everyone the opportunity to focus on mental health and overall well-being.
