Levy, in her 26th season as the only head coach in the history of the North Carolina women's lacrosse program, ranks third in NCAA Division I history in career wins, is a two-time national champion and a two-time National Coach of the Year.
The three-peat marks the second time in program history that Carolina has won three titles in a row – the Tar Heels also won in 1995, 1996 and 1997.
The Tar Heels, two-time defending champions, will play for the ninth title in program history Sunday at 7 p.m. on their home turf. It will be the team's 20th championship appearance.
