On Sunday, Kevin Guskiewicz took the public oath that installed him as chancellor, the job he has been doing for nearly 20 months, first on an interim basis then as the permanent choice of the UNC System Board of Governors. Since he arrived here as a faculty member in 1995, he has progressed to department chair, center director, senior associate dean and dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.
Carolina students got a chance to tell the University Board of Trustees about how they have been transformed by three programs – the Morehead-Cain Merit Scholarship, the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program and the Kenan-Flager Global Learning Opportunities in Business Education.
Among other news to come out of the July 21 meeting of the Board of Trustees, Chancellor Carol L. Folt announced the appointment of faculty member Kim Strom-Gottfried as the new director of ethics education and policy management.
