On Aug. 9, the UNC Board of Governors elected Lee H. Roberts as the 13th chancellor of UNC-Chapel Hill.

Roberts has served as interim chancellor since January. A dedicated public servant and a strong believer in the importance of a liberal arts education, Roberts is focused on initiatives that set graduates up for success and provide support to researchers, faculty and staff.

A campus event celebrating Chancellor Roberts' appointment was livestreamed Friday afternoon.
